About Paraben
Paraben was founded in 1999. Starting out as a shareware marketing company, Paraben changed focus and established itself as a leader in specialized computer forensic software with its release of PDA Seizure in early 2002. Forensic investigation software for e-mail, chat logs, cell phones, GPS devices, and more soon followed further solidifying Paraben's innovation in specific areas of digital investigations.
Paraben made the change from shareware marketing to producing forensic software and training because of the experiences founder Amber Schroader had working for a password recovery company. One specific experience found Amber sifting through hard drive evidence to determine possible passwords in a case involving the abuse of a child by her grandfather. With a bit of luck, she was able to guess the password and was told afterword what some of the images from the file she cracked contained. She was so appalled, she decided to dedicate her career in producing products and training that would bring people like this to justice.
As a single mother, Amber realized the need every parent had for the forensic technology she helped create. Not only were there many average people purchasing Paraben's SIM card analysis software to recover deleted text messages, she had many people requesting help analyzing their children's chat logs and e-mail. Thus, Paraben's line of "Stick" products was born giving parents access to technology formerly only available to law enforcement and corporate security.
Paraben has its corporate headquarters in Pleasant Grove, Utah with a satellite office in the Washington D.C. area. Paraben offers its forensic software world wide and training classes in locations throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, & Australia. With over 15 years of computer forensics experience, Paraben's Executive team continues to strive for a paradigm change in the field of computer forensics. |
